Durante coletiva realizada no final da manhã dessa quarta-feira (26), o prefeito de São Luís, Eduardo Braide, anunciou as medidas que estão sendo tomadas para a melhoria do sistema de transporte público da capital. O prefeito explicou que o repasse do subsidio da prefeitura para os empresários, de acordo com ultimo acordo firmado, é condicionado a melhorias do transporte e a melhorias para categoria com assinatura da convenção coletiva, o que não vem sendo cumprido pela classe patronal.
Na ocasião, o gestou destacou ainda que não haverá aumento de passagem e que encaminhará à Câmara de Vereadores de São Luís, um Projeto de Lei que prevê a revisão do contrato de concessão do sistema de transporte. Além disso, o documento contemplará a ampliação do prazo de validade dos créditos eletrônicos (passagem) de um para cinco anos.
“Estamos trabalhando para que a população de São Luís tenha um sistema de transporte urbano que funcione com qualidade. Assim como os serviços de saúde, energia elétrica, abastecimento de água, o transporte público também é um serviço essencial e por isso precisa ser prestado de forma adequada. Por isso mesmo, uma das nossas primeiras medidas é condicionar o repasse do subsídio ao cumprimento dessas melhorias”, frisou o prefeito Eduardo Braide.
O acordo contratual firmado em fevereiro deste ano entre a gestão municipal e as empresas concessionárias previa o aumento da frota de ônibus; retorno dos carros com ar-condicionado; aceite do reajuste de 7% dos rodoviários e não deflagração de nova greve, para garantir a melhora significativa na qualidade do serviço prestado à população. Neste acordo, o repasse dos R$ 0,30 centavos ajustados só seriam repassados mediante cumprimento de todas as cláusulas acordadas, porém, as empresas descumpriram três cláusulas do acordo firmado.
O prefeito ainda destacou, durante a coletiva que o poder municipal está trabalhando para avançar nas conversas, para realizar um novo acordo, já que o acordo assinado em fevereiro não apresentou melhorias no sistema e que é necessário que a frota retorne, mas com a qualidade, que havia sido garantida anteriormente pelas empresas.
